Passionate about helping others succeed

Helping to drive change & increase sales in energy, voids & retail

Leadership | Customer Engagement | Behavioural insights | Operational efficiency

8 Years developing & delivering renewable and domestic energy projects with measurable environment, social and economic benefits

20 Years innovating, leading, and motivating teams of all sizes across a range of industries.

Having worked with, or for major retailers, price comparison websites, charities, Local Authorities, and Registered Social Landlords (RSL’s). I have been able to grow market share for challenger brands, deliver significant business growth (B2B & B2C), increase energy switching rates, reduce fuel poverty and improve operational efficiency through a varied career.

As a co-founder of Community Switch, I helped to launch a price comparison service specifically designed to increase consumer engagement and energy switching in largely disengaged socio-economic groups. We also developed a ‘void energy management’ model for social landlords and our consultation work included project management of a Smart Metering project for DECC (Department of Energy & Climate Change) and an NEA (National Energy Action) Technology innovation fund initiative, assessing a range of emerging energy efficiency technologies, including Smart thermostats.

As Sales & Marketing Director at Energy Angels I developed a pipeline of over 300 organisations and delivered significant sales growth.

Importantly to me, the work of Placefirst, Community Switch & Energy Angels combined helped over 50,000 households reduce their domestic energy bills and save several million pounds.

As a senior leader I bring enthusiasm and extensive commercial management experience, coupled with strong social values. I have a track record of delivering change programmes, empowering individuals and developing teams that thrive in a fast-paced environment. I see no greater success than the growth of the businesses I work with and the individuals I train, coach and mentor.

I am passionate about the transition to a smarter, greener, more sustainable future, and I have studied psychometrics, leadership, management, and behavioural economics in order to help deliver it. I understand the challenges the energy industry faces with behaviour change and customer engagement, as well as the need for urgent action.

I am a mentor with ‘The Future Leaders – Utilities Mentoring network’ and part of ‘The Utility Market Experts’ (TUME) group. I volunteer, facilitate, host events and assess project managers for Raleigh International as well as provide mass catering. I am a lover of craft ale and a keen amateur brewer!

I am open to discuss new roles and available to take on additional clients. If you would like to know more about how I can help your organisation grow, improve operational efficiency and develop your team, please get in touch.
